A seasoned political and business journalist, Pugalia has vast experience working in digital, television and print. Prior to Quint, Pugalia was editor-in-chief of CNBC Awaaz. He has been a leader of several of the private, independent channels as India's media industry was developing 24-news channels beginning in the 1990s.
On his appointment, Adani Group released a statement: "We look forward to leveraging Sanjay's wide-ranging experience in media, communications and branding across the Adani Group's diverse range of businesses and in our Nation Building initiatives."
Virendra Gupta (popularly known as Viru) is the Founder of VerSe Innovation, India’s biggest local language technology platform. A high-spirited entrepreneur and business leader, Viru started VerSe Innovation in 2007 with an aim to bridge the digital divide and meet the unmet content needs of Indian audience by offering information services over SMS and USSD (unstructured supplementary service data). As an entrepreneur, he received his first investment by OnMobile pumped in a seed capital of USD 1 million, and he grabbed the next investment of USD 14 million in 2009 which further fueled his passion. So much so, that in 2011, Virendra bought Newshunt, now known as Dailyhunt which was delivering local language news content on mobile and moved from B2B to B2C business.
A brand management graduate of the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, Anant was awarded a Dean’s scholarship for his Master’s in print journalism from the Annenberg School for Journalism, USC.
In a news environment flooded by either advocacy or clickbait, Anant has steered the expansion of the Express’s digital business in tune with the group’s enduring values of fairness, accuracy and courage. These were burnished by his grandfather Ramnath Goenka when he launched the group 85 years ago and are today the hallmark of the group’s investigative and explanatory journalism.
Pankaj Mishra is a career journalist with over two decades of experience. He co-founded FactorDaily in 2016 to make sense of technology's impact on society with the depth it deserves. Pankaj is now rebuilding FactorDaily into a nonprofit media lab that goes beyond day-to-day stories for a needle-moving impact on society.
Over the years, Pankaj has led news teams, groomed young reporters and helped create new editorial products across different newsrooms, both print and multimedia. He has scooped some of the biggest newsbreaks, reported investigative stories and written long-form stories at The Economic Times, Mint, TechCrunch, and Network18.
Anupama Chopra is a film critic, National Award-winning book author and journalist. She is the chairperson of the Film Critics Guild and Director of the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival. She has covered cinema since 1993 in multiple mediums – print, television and digital. She has worked with India Today, NDTV 2/7, Star World and is currently the founder and editor in chief of the digital platform Film Companion, which offers a curated look at cinema and entertainment.
Neelesh Misra is one of India's leading changemakers who has constantly introduced new and socially impactful ideas that have positively impacted millions of people. He has broken new ground with new and innovative ideas. Mr. Misra occupies a unique space among communications professionals and his work has had a diverse impact in India. His work straddles many worlds.
Shaili Chopra is the founder of India’s largest platform for women and girls, SheThePeople.TV, which has over one billion in digital reach. She is a gamechanger shaping new initiatives vital for women to claim their rightful space and be present on decision making tables.
With learnings from SheThePeople, Shaili is building a new platform called Gytree that simplifies and prioritises women’s health.
Shaili is a Draper Hills Fellow from Stanford and a fellow of the Global Aspen Institute. She is a recipient of India's biggest journalism award, the Ram Nath Goenka Award for Journalism along with the News Television Award for the best reporter.
Pooja Prasanna has been a broadcast and digital journalist for over 12 years. She is the Editorial Head (Reporting) at The News Minute and has worked with media organizations including Times Now, Deccan Herald and Republic Media. During her career, she has covered politics, crime, investigation, as well as other breaking news across the south as well as from 12 other states in India.
Vijai Kao is currently the Head of Communications and Partnerships, Change.org. A communications and campaign professional who has been in the field for over 15 years, Vijai specializes in external communications, campaign development, crisis management and reputation management. He is a former journalist with robust media industry knowledge and a deep understanding of the development sector.
Nikhil has acquired over 15 years of experience in writing, content strategy, team management and process building in print, digital and app publishing. He has worked extensively in Lifestyle, Consumer Technology, Fitness and Sports sectors. Additionally his track record in digital content strategy, journalistic writing, brand and marketing communication has been proven and acknowledged time and again.
In a career spanning 17 years, Pinky has worked with development organizations such as Plan India, International Fund for Agricultural Development, The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, World Wildlife Fund, Population Action International and the ICCO Cooperation. She has worked on a plethora of issues and programmes across genders, sustainable livelihoods, health, education, environment, access to justice and dignity. She is a passionate advocate for a gender-equal world.
Vibha Kaul Bhat has been a broadcast journalist for over 25 years and is currently working with the ABP network as Associate Vice President - News Production and Programming . She has been with the network from the time Starnews took shape to become a credible network. Prior to this, she has spent 7 years in Zee Network as the Entertainment Head. She has reported and produced various shows on Entertainment- Saas Bahu aur Saazish, Sansani, Namaste Bharat to name a few. She is also involved in building a presence for these shows on the digital platform.
Pragya is a firm believer of people's power for social good. As a campaigner she is passionately committed towards furthering the agenda of ‘child rights and gender equality’. She strongly upholds equality and inclusion of agency, choice and voice. In 2013, she was listed among top 50 women in India to follow on Twitter.
In 2022 she featured amongst the 17 Women Changemakers for SDGs curated by Twitter India and Sayfty.
Pranay Upadhyaya is a Broadcast Journalist working with India's leading media house, ABP Network, as a Diplomatic Affairs Editor. International Relations and Defence related issues are the primary focus of his reports, besides subjects of national politics.
During his journalistic career of over 22 years, Pranay has worked with print, radio, television and digital news media. He has travelled extensively to over 30 countries reporting on various subjects ranging from international politics, military conflicts to science as well as climate change.
